EWGT 2025

The Euro Working Group on Transportation (EWGT) 27th Annual Conference will be held at Edinburgh Napier University, 1-3 September 2025.
Efficient human and freight mobility is vital to our daily lives connecting communities and driving economic growth. Modern transport systems face critical challenges: they must not only provide reliable and equitable access for all but also address urgent global issues such as climate change, public health, and safety.
To address these, they must innovate using new resources like artificial intelligence; data science, IoT, and emerging business models. By leveraging these opportunities, we can enhance efficiency, promote equity, and reduce environmental impacts.
This conference, organised by the Euro Working Group on Transportation, focuses on applying operations research methods, mathematical models, and computational algorithms to transport analysis, planning and operations. While centred on these analytical tools, the event embraces a broader perspective on mobility research. It provides a platform for experts to exchange insights and develop innovative solutions for efficient, sustainable, and equitable transport systems.
